- contact the company after having submitted your application to show your motivation and engagement
- consult your colleagues to get to know their opinions, ideas and above all their criticism
- benefit from informative conversations to integrate better into the team
- respect the hierarchy and the instructions of others
- suggest your help and your ideas without insisting too much
- answer in an honest and open-hearted way
- always be on time
- try to find similarities to get to know your colleagues
- benefit from situations during which you are able to present your home country to your team
- don’t be embarrassed to ask – your questions show interest
- try “to fish for information” to get to know the up-to-date happenings of the company
- answer the phone saying “Allô?”
DON’T
- be too direct and never be too brusque to others by being to outspoken
- go beyond your responsibilities as a trainee
- corrupt someone or “rest on your laurels”
- never let your first question in a job interview be about payment
- ignore the cultural differences at work
- ignore your responsibility
- expect that everything will be like “at home”
