DO
- make sure that you have temporary accommodation for the first days of your stay
- seek the help of an estate agency to rent an apartment
- get all the information regarding conditions before renting an apartment (if it is furnished, when and how is the rent paid, is it necessary to pay a guarantee, what are the additional expenses: electricity, gas, water, etc.)
- contact the landlord in the case of any breakdown or damage to anything in the apartment
- apply for a room at a residence hall at least one semester in advance
DON’T
- sign the rental contract/lease without reading it first and understanding what is written in it
- make too much noise after 10 p.m.
