DO
- try to learn as much Portuguese as possible
- learn as much information about the host country (culture, people, gastronomy)
- reserve train and coach tickets in advance for long trips
- bring an adaptor with you (if you come from outside of Europe )
- say “obrigado” if you’re a man and “obrigada” if you’re a woman, which means “thank you”
DON´T
- cross the street without looking first, even when on pedestrian crossings
- cycle without the necessary precautions
- drink and drive
