  At the doctor´s appointment
Doctor: Hello, what can I do for you?
Mr Schlüter: Hello. I haven’t been well for the past three days. I think I might have the flu.
Doctor: Let me auscultate your lungs. Please take off your shirt and breathe in deeply! Where does it hurt?
Mr Schlüter: Honestly, almost everywhere. I have a running nose, a severe headache, my chest hurts and I’m caughing all the time.
Doctor: Is your nasal discharge purulent or rather watery?
Mr Schlüter: Rather purulent. I can hardly breath through my nose.
Doctor: You have the flu with a beginning bronchitis. I will give you an antibiotic that will help. Go home and take a rest, drink herbal cold tea and let your roommates spoil you. I will give you a sick note till Friday. Come back on Friday for a check-up.
Mr Schlüter: Thank you. See you on Friday.

  At the pharmacy
Pharmacist: Hello, can I help you?
Mr Schlüter: I have a prescription. I would like to pick up the medicine.
Pharmacist: Thank you. Please wait a moment.
Mr Schlüter: Okay.
Pharmacist: Here you are, take one tablet on an empty stomach right after you get up in the morning. On the package you will find the same information. Anything else?
Mr Schlüter: I have the flu and I need an herbal cold tea. What can you recommend?
Pharmacist: Here you are, I also drink this tea. It doesn’t taste very good, but it helps. And with these drops you can make a facial steam bath or you can apply them directly to your chest. That also helps.
Mr Schlüter: Thank you, I will take both. How much is it?

A: That’s € 9.00.

Pharmacist: Would you like a bag?
Mr Schlüter: No, thanks, I don’t need one.
