Accommodation officer:	Please come in. I am the Accommodation Officer.
Jonas:	Thank you, I'm pleased to meet you.
Accommodation officer:	You sent me an e-mail about accommodation.
Jonas:	That's right. I stayed in a hostel the first night I arrived. At the moment I am staying in a Bed and Breakfast but I want a place of my own. Can you help me find something suitable?
Accommodation officer:	It depends what you want. Basically we have four types of accommodation - 'digs' where you stay with a family providing full board, a flat or apartment either on your own or sharing, a house which you rent with others and finally Halls of Residence or purpose built student apartments. Unfortunately, the student apartments are all occupied.
Jonas:	I am interested in getting an apartment.
Accommodation officer:	OK. Here is a list of apartments that we have. It contains all the information you need, costs, facilities and location. You can check them out.
Jonas:	Will I have to sign a contract and pay a deposit?
Accommodation officer:	Yes, that is normal and you can claim your deposit back if you leave the apartment as you found it when your placement ends.
Jonas:	What about heating and electricity, water and waste disposal charges?
Accommodation officer:	When you see the landlord or agent, make sure you enquire about the extras and what the average costs are for a month. Make sure you mention the television licence.
