SLOVAKIA | Internship: At work | Negotiating
Slovak businessman requires principle contract negotiations to be recorded in writing or to make contract and also prefers reimbursement of expenditures for the goods in advance. They consider a written contact, especially making records of meetings and work planning as a useful way of making the communication clear. They usually start negotiations with small talk and then get straight to business.
Slovaks prefer face-to-face meetings and telephone communication, however, in recent years e-mail communication became more popular. Slovak businessmen are a bit inconsistent and cannot see the consequences and often rely on improvisation.
